"Helping you improve the quality of your life" Hi. I’m Susan Peach. I’m glad you came to visit my site. Let me tell you a little about myself, what I do, and what I’m passionate about. I truly love my work as a therapist. Helping others understand their world and find their road to a happier life gives me some of the greatest pleasure there is. Some of you visiting here may be wondering what psychotherapy is all about. Don’t let the word, or the concept, intimidate you; it’s really simple. Psychotherapy is learning. It’s learning ways to improve the quality of your life. Having a trusted assistant can facilitate that learning, and get you to the happier place you seek, faster than you might find it on your own. It would give me great pleasure to be your assistant in that process. My credentials include licensure as a professional counselor in the state of Colorado, and national certification in counseling. These initials after my name assure you that I meet criteria set by other counselors, as well as by independent testing and review boards. Special training in therapeutic uses of music, art, poetry, and more, complements those credentials, and offers alternative forms of therapy when appropriate. I’m all about lifelong learning, so you can bet that continuing education is important to me. My educational background is a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Fort Hays State University, and a Bachelor of Science in both Music Therapy and Music Education from the University of Kansas. Until moving to Colorado with my husband and three sons in 2005, I lived my entire life in Kansas. My agricultural roots are there, along with much of my extended family and a tremendous number of wonderful memories. I suspect I’ll always be a fan of the state of Kansas, and its Kansas Jayhawks. Still, Colorado feels like the home I’ve been headed to for so many years. I love it here, and celebrate the way it nurtures some of my other passions, namely hockey, bicycling, and a love of nature. When I saw the view of Palmer Park’s bluffs outside the window of what would be my office, I knew it was the perfect place for me. I think you, too, would find the natural serenity adds a measure of peace to your experience with me. I’m not afraid to think outside the box, and I think you’ll find my tolerance, open-mindedness, resourcefulness and non-judgmental approach to great advantage in your learning process. With a background of non-traditional experiences, including education and religion, I know first hand how important it can be to customize happiness. I can help you set goals and take steps in whatever direction is right for you. Here are some of the common issues that bring people to my office:
If you’re wondering how to start, you might want to try one of my introductory 4- to 8-session packages, designed to offer you a toolkit in a specific area, such as improving relationships, managing stress, kicking bad habits, or beating anger to the punch. Perhaps you simply need to get some things off your chest, and find a plan for how to deal with them more effectively. I’m a compassionate listener, and a great goal setter. I’d be glad to help you address your concerns, no matter how small or huge, in privacy and confidence.
Psychotherapy can benefit anyone. Call me, and I’ll help you get started improving the quality of your
